Five Local Firework Displays to Celebrate July Fourth

Every Fourth of July, our surrounding communities help celebrate Independence Day with spectacular firework displays. Oftentimes, the firework shows are preceded by special events and activities during the day. The festivities are a great opportunity for us to spend some time with friends and neighbors. So pick a firework display, grab some extra blankets or lawn chairs and bug spray, and invite the family next door to join you for a fun evening outside!

Here are five Fourth of July celebrations happening nearby:

1. All American Fourth Fireworks

The City of Plano’s All American Fourth will be held both in-person at Oak Point Park and online for 2021. The in-person event begins at 6:00 PM on Sunday, July 4 at Red Tail Pavilion (formerly Oak Point Amphitheater). Parking can be found at Collin College, and food and beverages will be available for purchase.

Fireworks will begin at 9:30 PM and will live stream on PTV and Plano Arts & Events Facebook page. Music will be simulcast on 97.5 KLAK.

2. Frisco Freedom Fest

The City of Frisco's ever-popular Freedom Fest family celebration is back and bigger than ever! Weekend events begin on Saturday, July 3 and include live music, activities for the kids, and an assortment of concessions and restaurants at the "Taste of Frisco." The fun culminates on Sunday, July 4 with a fireworks extravaganza at approximately 9:45 PM, after the end of the FC Dallas game. Visit the Freedom Fest event page for additional information and a detailed schedule.

3. McKinney Red, White and BOOM!

The City of McKinney has its own Independence Day traditions. This year, you can enjoy the hometown parade, classic car, truck and cycle show, and numerous eating and shopping options downtown. The fun continues after dark at the McKinney Soccer Complex at Craig Ranch with music, food, kids' activities, and of course, spectacular fireworks. Find more information here.

4. Sachse's Red, White & Blue Blast

The City of Sachse’s annual Red, White & Blue Blast will be held on July 3 at Heritage Park. There will be live entertainment by the Party Machine band, food trucks, yard games, a Splashdown provided by the Sachse Fire Department and of course, fireworks!

5. Kaboom Town

Free tickets for the return of Addison's Kaboom Town and Freedom Flyover are all claimed, but you can still join the fun and livestream the fireworks online at 9:30 PM via the City of Addison's YouTube channel. Many of Addison's restaurants are also hosting watch parties. For more information, look here.

No matter how you decide to celebrate freedom and the birth of our nation, enjoy the holiday with friends and loved ones!
