Baptism is a visible expression of a person’s decision to identify with and follow Jesus Christ.

Baptism doesn’t begin our relationship with God; that relationship is restored through faith in Christ alone (Ephesians 2:8-9). Rather, baptism is an important step that Jesus instructed us to take after trusting in Him (Matthew 28:19). You can learn more about what it means to trust in Christ, here.
