We fail to see the family next door, barely surviving, or the ex-convict wanting to turn his life around but can’t find the right opportunity. Or when we see a need, we feel we do not have the time or resources to take any action. In the parable of the Good Samaritan, Jesus reminds us to see people’s needs and to allow our compassion to move us into action.
