40 Years Old and Just Getting Started

December 2021

DISCUSS TOGETHER

  • Where were you 10 years ago? What were you doing, where were you living, and what were your biggest hopes and worries? What about 40 years ago (if applicable)?
  • How did you come to be part of Chase Oaks? What were some of your first memories or most memorable moments with this community?
  • Read 1 Corinthians 9:19-23. How would you describe Paul’s approach to ministry and culture? What stands out to you?
  • In a changing culture, what does it look like to be faithful and flexible? Where is it okay (even necessary) to adapt and what are the things that shouldn’t change?
  • As you’ve journeyed through a lot of change in the last few years, where have you personally had to adapt and adjust to stay faithful to your big core values and goals?
  • As you look over this past group semester, what have been some favorite memories or meaningful moments from our time together?
  • Who is one person in your group you want to celebrate because of something you have seen God do in or through them? Celebrate some people together!
  • What are your hopes for the next group season? Are you open to doing a Book Club journeying through Luke and Acts in Chase Oaks’ Immerse January series?

NEXT STEPS

Take some time to celebrate as this group season comes to a close. Throw a party, spend time in prayer thanking God for all He has done, or go out to dinner together. As you look back, make sure to share plans for what the next season could look like. Talk about forming a Book Club starting the week of January 16. For more information, go to chaseoaks.org/immerse.
