Help for parents | Fun for kids

Parenting may be the one job we love most and feel least prepared for. On September 26, spend an afternoon built for your whole family: practical sessions with author Jim Burns and other experts, Triumph Sports Camp for the older kids, and story-filled play for the littles. Then everyone comes back together for family fun fest with inflatables and free food. Real help for parents, and a day your kids will talk about all week.

2026 Speakers

Shanda Gunter

Shanda Gunter is the Care Pastor at Chase Oaks Church, where she has the privilege of walking alongside people through some of life's most difficult and meaningful moments. She is passionate about helping families build healthy relationships, navigate hard conversations, and create homes where both parents and children can thrive.

Shanda and her husband, Jeff, are raising two energetic boys, so she knows firsthand that parenting is equal parts beautiful, messy, exhausting, and deeply rewarding. Her heart is to encourage parents that they don't have to have it all figured out—they simply need to be intentional as they point their children toward Jesus.

Peter and Cindy Park

Peter and Cindy have been married for 26 years and are the proud parents of two young adult daughters. These days, they’re adjusting to life as empty nesters and enjoying every chance they get to serve together.

Peter Park has served in ministry for more than 30 years and has been the Legacy Campus Pastor at Chase Oaks Church for the past 13 years. He enjoys connecting with people from all walks of life and considers it a privilege to walk alongside them as they grow in their faith. He’s a lifelong Dodgers, Luka Lakers, and Cowboys fan but now roots for the Longhorns too, thanks to his younger daughter.

Cindy Park is a Licensed Professional Counselor who helps adults better understand themselves and the patterns that shape the way they think, feel, and relate to others. Before becoming a counselor, she spent many years serving in ministry and earned her doctorate in Educational Studies from Talbot School of Theology. Today, she enjoys helping people connect the dots between their past experiences and present struggles so they can respond to themselves and others in healthier ways.

FAQ

This conference is designed for families with children ages birth-grade 6.

We will have snacks during the conference time along with cold brew and refreshers by Local Good Coffee. Then at the family fun fest, we'll have a free nacho bar and hot dogs.

FUN! We will have inflatables, a petting zoo with a pony ride, and other fun opportunities to laugh and connect as a family.

When people say, "It takes a village," they're right—it really does take a village to raise a family. We weren't meant to navigate parenting alone, and a group is one of the best places to find encouragement, wisdom, and people who will walk alongside you long after the conference ends. Check out our groups and our short-term groups for ways to connect!
