Our Chase Oaks Family Center serves our community by offering a safe place for individuals to experience education and personal transformation. We offer different proficiency levels of ESL training, including basic, intermediate, advanced and conversational. We also offer citizenship classes, parenting education and support as well as periodic immunization clinics. If you would like to volunteer, please let us know. There are many opportunities to get involved.

ENGLISH CLASSES

Morning Classes: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:30-11:15 a.m. from August 20, 2019-May, 2020. Classes are FULL.

Evening Classes: Wednesdays, 6:30-8:00 p.m. from August 21, 2019-May 2020. Register onsite.

CITIZENSHIP CLASS

Tuesdays: 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m.

Saturdays: 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

Thursdays: 6:30-8:30 p.m.

  • Marriage Enrichment Program: 6:00-8:30 p.m.
  • Single Parent Support: 6:00-8:30 p.m.

We meet the third Saturday of every other month (February, April, June, August, October and December).

MORNING COFFEE

Fridays: 7:45-8:30 a.m.

Neighbors that meet for coffee and fellowship right after school drop-off. No registration required, just show up!

BOOK CLUB

Fridays: 8:30-10:00 a.m.

Connect with neighborhood friends and dive into a book study together. There is one in English and one in Spanish. No registration required, just show up!

FAMILY PROMISE

SCHOOLZONE

SchoolZone will open from July 31-August 3.

SchoolZone is a partnership with Mendenhall Elementary, Terrace Elementary, Agape Resource Center, Family Promise and Shiloh’s Place. Qualifying families can purchase school supplies and a backpack for $5/child. If you want to serve, online sign up will be available starting July 1.

TOYZONE

ToyZone will be open December 11-14, 2019

ToyZone is a partnership with Mendenhall Elementary, Terrace Elementary, Rasor Elementary, Rountree Elementary, Agape Resource Center, and Family Promise. Qualifying families can purchase Christmas gifts for their children, receive free gift wrapping and a coat. If you want to serve, sign up below!

ENGLISH CLASSES

We have serving opportunities for teachers and assistant teachers. The commitment is Tuesdays and/or Thursdays, from 9:15-11:30 a.m., or Wednesday, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. We follow the Plano ISD school schedule. No experience necessary, training is provided. English is the only language you need to speak.

FAMILY PROMISE

There are several ways to participate, including meal drop-off, dinner host and overnight host. You can serve individually, as a family or as a LifeGroup. Contact Pam Ingram at for additional information.

THIS SIDE UP!

Serving opportunities include setup, hospitality and childcare every other Saturday of the month. Contact Susan Gibson at for additional information.

SCHOOLZONE

The serving team will help families shop, sort backpacks and restock school supplies. Sign ups will be available starting July 1.

TOYZONE

You can serve by wrapping presents, restocking toys, organizing coats, helping with hospitality and families shop. The store will be open from December 11-14, 2019. The sign-up will be available starting November 1.
