Every Fourth of July, there are spectacular firework displays throughout the surrounding communities. Oftentimes, there will be special celebrations and events that take place prior to the firework show in the evening.

Fourth of July events and firework displays are great opportunities for you to invite your neighbors! Bring extra blankets and chairs and invite the family next door to join your family and enjoy one of the best firework displays in town. If you want to make a day out of it, look for celebrations that have special events prior to the big show! Here are some local Fourth of July celebrations happening near you.

All American Fourth Fireworks

The City of Plano will be hosting a special event on Wednesday, July 4 from 5:00-11:00 p.m., at Oak Point Park. The night will begin at Collin College where you, your family, and your neighbors can enjoy a variety of food for purchase at a food truck. You are also welcome to bring picnic baskets to the event. After dinner, you can enjoy music with a live DJ, starting at 7:30 p.m. Finally, there will be a spectacular firework display that is synchronized with music at 9:30 p.m. Bring your blankets and devices to tune into 97.5 KLAK! Parking will be available at Collin College, Plano Event Center, and First United Methodist Church.

Allen USA Celebration

Every year, the City of Allen hosts one of the largest Fourth of July celebrations in our area. On Saturday, June 30 at 4:00 p.m., Allen USA Celebration will take place at Celebration Park. The admission for the event is free. There are some free activities such as arts and crafts for the children. However, food vendors and some activities require purchases. But according to the website, you are allowed to bring food and drinks in coolers to the event.

There will be live music, a kid zone filled with inflatables and fun games, and sports challenges. There is something for the whole family! Of course, there will be an amazing firework display at the end of the night. There will be music that accompanies the show.

A Blast in Sachse

The City of Sachse’s annual Red, White & Blue Blast will be held on Tuesday, July 3, at Heritage Park. There will be food vendors, live entertainment, activities, a parade, and a firework display. Activities include bounce houses, carnival rides, lawn games, contests, a petting zoo, and pony rides. At 6:00 p.m., there will be a Fourth of July parade for the family to enjoy. You can even sign up to be a part of the parade by visiting Sachse Parade Registration and filling out a form online. And fireworks will take off at 9:30 p.m. to end the night.

A Celebration for the Family

The City of Richardson will host its annual Family 4th Celebration on Wednesday, July 4, at Breckinridge Park. Admission is free. Starting at 6:00 p.m., there will be food vendors from which you can purchase dinner and snacks. You can also bring your own food and drinks. At this event, you and your family will enjoy live music, bounce houses, a climbing wall, and fireworks.
