About The Hope Store
Chase Oaks Church is committed to making a difference both here and around the world, including in the marketplace!  Back in the fall of 2008, we began to sell a few Fair Trade products sourced from an organization called Trade As One.  Partnering with Trade As One has helped to grow our understanding of how to be responsible consumers.  We've discovered that the money we spend for things we need and want can either help to build up or tear down the people who make them and the communities they live in.

What is Fair Trade?
The concept of Fair Trade includes the ability for the producer of the product or service to earn a living wage in doing so.  Tragically, when you trace back the production process for many of the things we purchase, often this is not case.  A pair of shoes, for example, may be a bargain at $20, but the person who made them may have only been paid pennies a day.

At The Hope Store you can be confident that your purchases will be providing a living wage and upholding the biblical principles of economic justice.  Stop by after one of the services to check out our variety of Fair Trade products, including coffee, chocolate, soap, jewelry and more! In addition, you can purchase CD/DVDs of our sermon series at The Hope Store
