Stories of Impact
The responsibility we feel with the money that is invested in what God is doing through Chase Oaks is taken very seriously. Our goal is to use the money in ways that will make the most impact in the lives of people at Chase Oaks, in our community, and around the world. On a regular basis we want to give you a snapshot of some of the things that God is doing with your investment. Thanks for your commitment and generosity.
Generosity Journey
by Glen Brechner, Executive Director
One of the key indicators that we are growing in our relationship with Jesus is the level of our generosity. As a follower of Jesus, giving provides us a great opportunity to:
- Demonstrate and remember God’s provision
- Be freed from consumerism
- Have an outlet for us to make a difference, and
- Remember that money is a great servant, but a terrible master.
This past year many in our church have responded to the transforming work of the Holy Spirit in their lives and have given generously. This has allowed us to meet the financial needs of the ministries within Chase Oaks, support our community partners and global commitments around the world.
Here are a few snapshots of what has happened through your generosity this past year:
- As the school year begins, Ethiopia has a new school because of the $1,000,000 given toward our Ethiopia Project, which included starting a new school, caring for the needs of widows and orphans and supporting over 70 church planters.
- In our community we have partnerships with seven schools that are under resourced.
- Over 900 children participated in Vacation Bible School for free this summer with over 35 of those children beginning a relationship with Jesus.
- 102 LifeGroups are developing relationships that are transforming people and serving the community.
- The Love Fund is healthy, and we will be able to come around many at Chase Oaks in a season of financial hardship.
- As a church we can go into this fiscal year with less debt and in the position to further live into the purposes God has for us at Chase Oaks.
For many of you who give regularly, I hope you know the difference that you make with your generosity. Thank you for your faithfulness and your model of living a generous life.
This is a big year in the life of Chase Oaks and what God is doing through all of us as a church. If you aren’t a part of it yet through giving, let me encourage you to start. Giving will grow your faith, increase your impact, and you will discover in a personal way that giving is not about what God wants from you, it is what He wants for you … a life of generosity.
