ALPHA OMEGA

Steve Prince’s artwork “Alpha Omega” is a triumph. It not only focuses our attention onto the story of Mary and the plight of her task bringing Jesus in the world, it does so by placing Mary squarely within the context of every mother’s story. Caught between cultural pressures, historical baggage, and spiritual warfare, every mother and caregiver knows what it’s like to stand in the gap for the sake of a child. By helping us relate to Mary, Steve Prince helps us see the accessibility and approachability of her son, which is a big part of what we are meant to understand when we look at the Christmas story.
