What Is LIFT?

We know how much of a struggle the middle school and high school years can be for students and parents. Life pulls teens in so many different directions, and it can be challenging to guide them in the right one.

That’s why we have created a new way for students to connect at Chase Oaks. LIFT (Life + Together) is more than just another Student Ministry. It is an experience in which students will build healthy connection and community, have fun, and learn life-truths. Students will do life together.

Our core ministry verse is 1 Thessalonians 2:8: “Because we LOVED you so much, we were delighted to share with you, not only the gospel, but our lives as well.” This verse encompasses three of our most important values: love, sharing the Scripture, and sharing our lives.

Our focus will be on small groups, so we want every student in Grades 7-12 to get plugged into a small group to share the gospel and their life with others.

LIFT will be a great place for students to feel loved and to connect with others who struggle with the same challenges every day. As they connect with other students and leaders, they will find a healthy direction for their lives while having so much fun. Students will worship and play games with one another. They will have a sense of belonging as they participate in their small groups. And they will have a sense of purpose as they go out and make a difference in our world!

What Can We Expect at LIFT?

LIFT is designed to maximize energy levels across our campuses by bringing all our amazing leaders and students together every week at the same time. Therefore, LIFT will be for middle school and high school students in Grades 7-12.

We love our high school students and think that they can be incredible mentors and examples to our younger teens in Grades 7-8. It will be a great way for high school students to make a difference in our Student Ministry and learn the importance of investing in younger generations.

And what an incredible energy all the students will bring as they worship God! It will be such an amazing experience for the leaders!

At the beginning of LIFT, students will hang out, eat, play games, worship, and hear life-changing truths. While we think there is value in combining middle school and high school to hang out and worship together, we want to separate our teens into age-appropriate groups for the second half of LIFT to set them up for success during the small-group time.

We think that small groups are where the greatest amount of transformation happens. So, we want to do everything we can to encourage our students to open up and be transparent about any questions they have. We also want our small groups to be a safe place to share and pray for each other through our struggles. We want these groups to be a place where students really grow closer to each other and can build relationships that go a little deeper than their normal friendships. A caring adult will be there to help facilitate those relationships and direct those conversations towards Christ!

Where Is LIFT?

As a multi-site church, Chase Oaks Church has multiple campuses throughout the surrounding communities. LIFT will be at a campus near you.

The Legacy Campus will have LIFT in the Legacy Campus’ 201 Building. The Sloan Creek Campus, Woodbridge Campus, and Richardson Campus will have LIFT in their student spaces.

Check our website or your local campus for more details about where LIFT will be happening next in your community.

When Is LIFT?

Since we wanted to make participating in LIFT easy for students, we wanted each campus to offer LIFT at their campus. Therefore, LIFT’s dates and times may vary depending on the campus you attend.

Students at the Legacy Campus, Sloan Creek Campus, and Woodbridge Campus will meet on Sundays at 6:15 p.m. Leaders are excited to start welcoming students to LIFT on Sunday, September 15.

Students at the Richardson Campus will meet on Wednesdays at 6:15 p.m. Leaders are ready to welcome students on Wednesday, September 18.

We know LIFT will be a life-changing experience for our students. We hope all students in Grades 7-12 will join us as we get things lifted off this weekend with some crazy, fun games at our campuses!
