Chris Turner -- Middle School Pastor

Chris grew up in the small East Texas town of Henderson, TX.  Where he strangely grew a dislike for rodeos and country music.  Lets just say he was not easily influenced by his surroundings.  He graduated from the University of Texas at Tyler with a bachelor degree in History.  While attending college and after graduating he worked at Sky Ranch summer camps.  This is where he learned his life long skill of being a corn dog.  It is a dirty job but someone has to do it!  His heart for connecting students to Christ began while he was still in high school.  He desperately wants to see middle school students begin to follow Christ in every aspect of their lives on a daily basis.  Chris is married to Ashley, and they reside in Grapevine, Texas.

I am a southpaw who grew up in Arkansas, the Natural State.  My whole life I have made up words; as a kid my famous word was "utibu" — I don’t even remember what it means, but I loved to use it.  My most proud one (that I am confident will be in the dictionary one day) is "meldge," which is to merge and weld together. At the age of 18, I was in a situation on our senior trip where I saw for the first time, injustice, incredible poverty, and the world outside of “myself.”  It was there, where God moved me toward compassion for the vulnerable, and it changed my life forever.  I love working at Chase Oaks just for what they stand for in the community and in making a difference outside the walls of the church.  I also enjoy being a part of student ministry because nothing is more exciting than to see the light go on for a student — where they see for the first time their own value and identity in Christ, that God has a purpose just for them, and that they too can make a difference.  There is so much going on in students lives, and I am blessed to be able to be a small part of that through working  here especially when I see a new student come as they are, be transformed, and then meldge those together to go out and make a difference!  I have been married to Phil since 1987, and have three great kids, Courtney, Clayton, and Callie.

Jason is from the DFW area and graduated from Baylor University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.   Jason has three children: Zane, Caldwell and Eden and has been married to Danielle since 1996.
