Our Chase Oaks Family Center serves our community by offering a safe place for individuals to experience education and personal transformation. We offer different proficiency levels of ESL training, including basic, intermediate, advanced and conversational. We also offer citizenship classes, parenting education and support as well as periodic immunization clinics. If you would like to volunteer, please let us know. There are many opportunities to get involved.

B.E.S.T. ESL

Morning Classes: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:30-11:15 a.m. Starting Tuesday, September 5.

Evening Classes: Wednesdays, 6:30-7:45 p.m. Starting Wednesday, September 6.

B.E.S.T. PRAYER GROUP

Wednesdays: 9:00-10:30 a.m.

A group that meets to pray over the needs of community, parents, schools, etc. No registration required, just show up!

CITIZENSHIP CLASS

Saturdays: 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

Thursdays: 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Neighbors that meet for coffee and fellowship right after school drop-off. No registration required, just show up!

BOOK CLUB

Fridays: 8:30-10:00 a.m.

Connect with neighborhood friends and dive into a book study together. There is one in English and one in Spanish. No registration required, just show up!

August 9-12, 2017

Schoolzone is a partnership with Mendenhall Elementary, Agape Resource Center and Family Promise. Qualifying families can purchase school supplies and a backpack for $5/child.

December 13-16, 2017

Toyzone is a partnership with Mendenhall Elementary, Agape Resource Center and Family Promise. Qualifying families can purchase Christmas gifts for their children, receive free gift wrapping and a coat.

Partnership with Woodcreek Church and B.E.S.T. (Building English Skills Together) ESL with four levels of FREE English classes open to the public.

LIGHT OF HOPE

Citizenship Class is a partnership with Light of Hope Immigration Center, offering FREE citizenship education year-round.

B.E.S.T. ESL

Volunteer opportunities for teachers and assistant teachers. The commitment is Tuesdays and/or Thursdays, from 9:15-11:30 a.m. We follow the Plano ISD school schedule. No experience necessary, training is provided, English is the only language you need to speak.

FAMILY PROMISE

We will be hosting Family Promise guests from June 25-July 9! There are several ways to participate including meal drop-off, dinner host and overnight host. You can serve individually, as a family or as a LifeGroup. Sign up below.

THIS SIDE UP!

Volunteers can assist with setup, hospitality and childcare on the third Saturday of the month.

SCHOOLZONE

Volunteers can help families shop, sort backpacks and restock school supplies. The store will be open August 9-12. The volunteer sign-up will be available July 1.

TOYZONE

Volunteers can help wrap presents, restock toys, organize coats, help with hospitality and help families shop. The store will be open December 13-16. The volunteer sign-up will be available November 1.
