Spring and Easter are right around the corner! There are a lot of local events for you and your family to attend to celebrate this wonderful time. From Easter Egg Hunts to Easter adventures under the sea, there are fun Easter events for the whole family.

Easter Events Under the Sea

Looking for a unique way to celebrate Easter with your children? Tired of the traditional Easter egg hunts? We have found a couple of Easter events for the adventurous family!

Easter eventsThe Apex Centre, an indoor pool in McKinney, TX, is hosting an Easter Egg Splash on Saturday, March 24, from 9:00-11:45 a.m. There will be a floating Easter egg hunt for three different age groups, ranging from 2-12 years. The Don Rodenbaugh Natatorium in Allen, TX, is hosting Under the Sea Easter Adventure on Saturday, March 31, from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. For this adventure, your little egg hunters need to be ready to collect as many eggs from the water as they can within a certain time limit. Each egg hunter will receive treats as well as an opportunity to take a photo with the Easter bunny. The event is open for ages 1-12 years. Registration ends on Thursday, March 29. Outdoor Easter Events

If your family would rather stay above water, the city of Allen is hosting another family adventure. On Saturday, March 24, the 2018 Eggcellent Family Adventure will be from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at Allen Civic Plaza. Rather than participating in a traditional Easter egg hunt, the children will participate in an Easter version of trick-or-treating as they visit different tables hosted by local organizations that will hand out eggs filled with goodies. There will also be photos with the Easter bunny, crafts, games, bounce houses, and face painting. And the best part is this event is free!

There will also be a cool event, the Eggcellent Eggdrop, hosted by Chick-Fil-A Allen where participants will be given various materials to build a structure that can prevent a raw egg from breaking from a 10-foot drop. In Garland, TX, Firewheel Town Center will be hosting its annual Easter Egg-Stravaganza on Saturday, March 24, from 12:00-2:00 p.m. There will be family-friendly activities, music, games, crafts, and much more! An Easter Event for Family Fitness

Are you and your family fitness enthusiasts? Well, we have the Easter event for you! Three local organizations will be fun runcoming together to host the 2018 Eggsperanza Family Color Fun Run. The Eggsperanza Family Color Fun Run is a one-mile run that is untimed and kid-friendly. All participants will receive a hand-painted Esperanza medal. The fun run takes place on Saturday, March 24, from 8:00-11:00 a.m. The cost is $10 per participant.

Aside from a fun run, you and your children will be able to attend the Eggsperanza Festival where the Easter bunny will make an appearance and your family will receive complimentary breakfast tacos. And there will be a lot more family-friendly fun!

All of the proceeds from the fun run will go toward Juntos Servimos, an organization that provides shelter, healthcare, and education to impoverished families in northern Mexico. Not only will your family have a great time at this event, but you will also make a difference in the lives of children in Mexico.

An Exotic Easter Event

Easter EventsWould you and your family like to view exotic cats without traveling to the zoo? In-Sync Exotics, an exotic cat rescue in Wylie, TX, is hosting an Easter egg hunt on Saturday, March 31, from 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. There will be a lot of food and fun! Aside from the Easter egg hunt, they will have snow cones, hot dogs, popcorn, games, face painting, a bounce house, a sack race, and a silent auction. At the end of this fun-filled day, you and your family are invited to watch the exotic cats get their treats.

Easter Events at the Library

Do you have small children that love story time? The Sachse Public Library will be hosting their special Easter Story Time and Egg Hunt on Wednesday, March 28, from 10:30-11:30 a.m. and on Thursday, March 29, from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. The Children Librarian will read Easter-themed stories aloud and sing songs with your children! Easter at Our Woodbridge Campus

One great way to celebrate with your family this Easter is to join us for our grand opening of the Woodbridge Campus’ new location. Our Woodbridge Campus serves the Murphy/Wylie/Sachse community. Currently, we are meeting at the B&B Theatres in Wylie, TX. This month, we will be moving into our new location at 2709 3rd Street, Sachse, TX 75048. We will have our grand opening on Easter weekend. It will be a great celebration for Easterthe whole family!
