Chase Oaks Church strives to love and to serve our local community by meeting its deepest needs. One way we do this every year is through Make a Difference 2gether. Throughout the month of April, each of our campuses will have numerous opportunities for everyone to get involved in Make a Difference 2gether.
Three Ways to Make a Difference 2gether
This year, there are three ways you can make a difference in our community. All you need to do is to remember 2, 2, 22.
Choose 2 Hours of Engagement
First of all, our Woodbridge Campus will provide opportunities for Chase Oakers and anyone in the community to engage for 2 hours to fulfill local needs. There are a variety of projects where we will serve schools in Wylie ISD and in Sachse (Garland ISD). We will also be working together to complete service projects to meet the needs of a food pantry in Sachse.
Our service projects will take place on Saturday, April 14, from 9:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m. You are more than welcome to bring your children to serve with you. This is a great time for families to connect through serving together. If your children are too young to serve, we have you covered! The Woodbridge Campus will provide free childcare for ages Birth-Kindergarten on Saturday, April 14, from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Sign up for childcare at Woodbridge 2gether Serve Day Childcare.
If you are unable to participate in these service projects, you can choose how to engage for 2 hours in the community. This might be through helping a neighbor, volunteering at an animal shelter, or finding another need in our community. If each of us gives 2 hours of our time, we can greatly impact our community.
Donate 2 Bags of Groceries
The next step is to donate 2 bags of groceries to fill our local food pantries. The Woodbridge Campus will accept food donations during the week of April 16-20 and during the weekend services of April 22. During the week of April 16-20, you can drop off your donations from 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. in the Woodbridge Campus’ lobby. If we work together, we can feed thousands of people in our community!
To meet the needs of our local food pantries, we have put together a list of items when you go shopping! To download the list, visit Make a Difference 2gether Food List.
Give $22 to Local Partners
Aside from completing service projects and donating groceries, we can participate by giving $22 to our local partners. All of the monetary donations for Make a Difference 2gether will go toward a few local partners who are doing amazing work in our community to fill our community’s needs throughout the year.
Last year, three of our partners each received over $30,000 to help them complete their great work. If we come together again this year, we can have another great year where we impact our community through local partners.
Our Woodbridge Campus will be accepting monetary donations during the weekend services of April 8 and 15. You can also donate online at Woodbridge 2gether Giving. We are excited to see how your generosity will impact our campus and our community.
Make a Difference 2gether Projects in the Woodbridge Community
For the 2 hours of engagement, here are a few projects your family, your neighbors, or your LifeGroup can participate in to make a difference 2gether.
Service Projects for a Local Food Pantry
5 Loaves Food Pantry is a ministry located in Sachse, TX. The Sachse Chamber of Commerce describes 5 Loaves Ministry as a non-profit organization that seeks to provide support and food to people of all ages to nourish their body and soul.
Service projects for 5 Loaves Food Pantry includes exterior painting, yard work, food sorting, and coffee bean roasting. These projects will make our local food pantry a great place for those struggling in our local community to come and have their needs met. Partner with our campus and 5 Loaves Food Pantry to make a difference in the Woodbridge community this weekend!

Beautification Projects for Our Local Schools
As part of Make a Difference 2gether, the Woodbridge Campus is excited to serve the local schools by completing beautification projects for seven schools in Wylie ISD and three schools in Sachse (Garland ISD). Projects range from cleaning flowerbeds and gardens and planting flowers to building tables and painting various structures.
This is a great way to make a difference in our local schools by creating a welcoming environment for students and parents in the Wylie/Sachse community. Let’s make our schools beautiful again! Let’s Celebrate 2gether
It is important for us to not only to serve together but to celebrate together. Therefore, after completing our service projects on Saturday, April 14, our Woodbridge Campus will host a block party from 12:00-2:30 p.m. in the parking lot. There will be a cookout, a bounce house, and music! It will be a fun celebration for the whole family.
Join our Woodbridge Campus to make a difference in our community and to celebrate the impact we have made 2gether!
