Teaching the Word of God:  We value teaching the Bible in a relevant, practical and challenging way because it is God’s revelation to us and the primary means He uses to change lives.

Bridge-Building:  We value our God-given mission to bridge people to new life in Christ and extend His love and justice to those in need.

Freedom in Form:  We believe that the Bible prescribes functions but leaves tremendous flexibility for us to choose the best forms to express those functions in our culture. This value means that we perform the biblical functions of the church in ways that are relevant to a changing culture.

Generosity of Life:  We are committed to living out Jesus’ call to give our lives away for the sake of others, sacrificing time, money and preferred ministry style to help others connect with God.

Team-Based Ministry:  We do ministry as team, which means that every ministry area is built around teams where individuals express their gifts and work with each other to accomplish ministry in a healthy way. We don’t start a new ministry unless there is first a healthy team in place.

Biblical Community:  We value healthy relationships where believers care for one another and help one another grow. God created the church to be a place where all races and classes of people would be unified by a common commitment to Jesus Christ -- a place where differences are honored and diversity valued.

Character-Based Leadership:  We value character first in leadership selection and work hard to identify and train emerging leaders to further the mission of the church worldwide. As leaders we are committed to being humble and teachable and open so that we can grow in character, knowledge and skills.

Authenticity:  We promote a “come-as-you-are” culture, where people are encouraged to be open and honest about their journey and to live their lives without pretense.
